Sesame is a flowering plant in the genus Sesamum, also called benne. In Sri Lanka, India, Japan and China, one of the most famous medicinal plant is Thala; තල, scientifically known as Sesamum indicum. The history of the blade, dates back 5,000 years.

There are several types of sesame seeds that have been eaten since the middle of that time.

  • White sesame
  • Black sesame
  • Brown sesame
  • Red sesame

Sesame seeds are rich in many nutrients that are good for the body, big and small. Because it contains a lot of nutrients.

Medicinal properties of Sesamum indicum.

Prevents Heart Disease,
Sesame is a beneficial medicine for patients suffering from heart disease. Potassium contained in sesame seeds has been proven to be effective against heart disease. Because of this the heart without pressure is in effect. Therefore, the incidence of heart disease is also controlled.

Increases the body weight,
Many people try to control their body weight while others try to gain weight. You can use sesame seeds as a medicine if you dream of getting your body fat.

Relieves migraine,
Sesame seeds can be used as a medicine to cure this condition. When you have a migraine, you can take a few sesame seeds, grind it with cow's milk and apply a plaster on the forehead.

Removes urinary stones,
Sesame seeds are a natural remedy that can be used to dilute urinary stones. Boiling sesame stalks and drinking that water can dissolve urinary stones.

Cures skin ailments,
Sesame seeds can be used as a remedy for many skin ailments such as eczema, rashes and sores. That is to say, you can cure skin diseases by taking a few red onions, chopping them well, adding the same amount of sesame oil to the juice and applying it on the affected areas of eczema, rashes and sores.

Also it is helps for:

  • To prevent cancer.
  • To control the bad cholesterol in the body.
  • To cure bone diseases.
  • To remove harmful toxins from the body.
  • To prevent neurological disorders.
  • To grow hair.
  • To alleviate anemia.

Eating sesame seeds is beneficial to alleviate such diseases. There are also times when you should avoid eating sesame seeds. That is, sesame seeds should be avoided in cases of stomach ailments, vomiting, nausea and difficulty in breathing.
