Ceylon Of The Early Travellers
(SKU: LS600045E1) H.A.J. Hulugalle, a lifelong traveller and journalist, explored India, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Europe, and the United States. Editor of the Ceylon Daily News for 17 years, he shared his experiences. In 1948, he led the Ceylon Information Department, working with Prime Ministers D.S. Senanayake, Dudley Senanayake, and Sir John Kotalawala. In the 1950s, he served as Ceylon's Ambassador to Rome and Athens. Hulugalle's writings, including books on Sri Lanka, are valued by scholars, spanning journalism, diplomacy, and scholarship. He passed away in 1981, leaving a lasting impact on the understanding of Ceylon and global affairs.
