Tippili, also known by its botanical name Piper longum, belongs to the Piperaceae family. It has become increasingly popular all over the world as a spice. It is a flowering plant similar to black pepper, but is slightly warmer than black pepper. Piperine is an antihypertensive and anti-pyretic substance. Also, Tippili has many medicinal properties and is used to treat many ailments in Ayurveda. Quenches hunger. Facilitates digestion. It kills worms and acts as a revitalizing drug.
